东坑村是水南街道下辖的行政村，位于316国道边，距南平市区约3公里，属延平区近郊。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村内有一条坑涧自东向西流，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代此地归罗源里。民国时期，1934年划入第一区进贤乡，1941年改属进贤乡下的东坑保。1950年至1956年为第一区东坑，1957年归郊区办事处。[1]

1958年归红旗公社，翌年并入东坑公社，村级单位成为东坑大队。1984年，公社改设东坑乡，大队随之改称东坑村委会。[1]

东坑乡于1992年11月撤销，东坑村划归水南街道。[3]

村下辖7个自然村。[2]
