地名由来[edit]

村子位于坂仔镇东部，因此得名东坑。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

1958年，东坑村由两个原有的村合并而成。[1] 1958年，本村编入坂仔公社，称东坑大队；1984年，改为东坑村委会。[1]

全村有27个村民小组，1677户，6518人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

东坑村入选「2021年福建省卫生村」，入选决定由福建省爱卫办作出，时在2021年11月。[1]
