东坑村是浦南镇下辖的行政村，位于漳州市区北郊，距市区约15公里，东邻龙文区朝阳镇方向，北与鳌浦村接壤。村辖东坑、内坑、内灶3个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

明永乐二年，长泰县广溪村一吴姓家族迁居此地，以养鸭为业，并建起祖祠。村旁有大坑，人称“大坑底”，村子位于坑之东侧，因而得名东坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先隶龙溪县廿三、四都的陈宏堡，民国时划入浦南区鳌浦保。解放后归第八区鳌浦乡，1958年列入星火公社。[1]

1961年东坑归漳州市浦南公社；1962年设东坑大队；1984年改设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办当年11月将东坑村列入「2021年福建省卫生村」。2023年12月，村被认定为「2023年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」，主导产品为花菜。[1]
