塘边社区是福建省漳州市芗城区石亭街道下辖的社区，位于街道南部，原为塘边村。村中央有一口大池塘，村名因塘得来。[1][3]

原塘边村总人口1211人，347户，为黄氏一姓单一居住，村民以加工业和种植业为主要收入。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧属龙溪县，解放前隶石亭区，解放后划入五区的埔尾乡。1958年起归星火公社塘边耕作区，1961年改归漳州市石亭公社，并设塘边大队。1984年，此地被改设为石亭乡塘边村委会；2020年6月3日起为塘边社区居民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

宝莲寺在村中，始建于明万历三十五年（1607年），寺址原称睦邻庙，清乾隆年间易名瑞云堂。1993年，周边多个村社的信众集资扩建，改名宝莲寺，2002年经申报核准为宗教活动场所。寺中现存清乾隆四十九年（1784年）的捐资碑两方。[2]

村中另有黄氏宗祠和塘边庵。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，塘边社区获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。村曾被评为芗城区文明村和先进基层党组织。[1][2]
