东坑村是苏坑镇西南端的行政村，与蓬壶镇东星村相邻，村中有一处东坑寨摩崖石刻。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

本村原称东熙大队，1961年拆队后改用东坑之名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地自北宋与明代开基以来，直到民国都属于永春的廿二都。1949年以前归常安乡东熙保管，1949年后改设东熙乡；1958年实行公社化后，称为东熙大队。1961年分为东坑大队，1984年转为东坑村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的主要农产品有水稻、茶、地瓜、山茶油和野生黄花菜。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东坑寨摩崖石刻位于村中，年代为明代，属石窟寺及石刻类。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，本村被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」；2023年12月，本村获得「2023年度福建省森林村庄」称号。[1]
