历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，村名的由来有两说：相传韩江横堤决口，泥沙冲到东面数千米处形成沙垄，村在沙垄末端，垄、陇同音；又取山川龙脉承袭凤岭之尾之意。相传宋末有庄姓人来此定居，清初福建莆田的张、林两姓迁入，渐成村落。[1]
1953年，陇美、东林头、横陇三村组成陇尾乡；1956年陇尾乡又并入沙坝乡。[1]

村简介载，全村2039人，493户，耕地500亩，主要种植水稻和龙眼。[1]
