历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，宋末已有先民到此居住，明代官府在此设汛地（兵防之地），地处南北交界，故称南界；居民多王姓，又叫王厝或南界王。清代，南界王与蔡厝所在的南界蔡统称南界。[1]
1953年南界王、南界蔡、南蛟、太蛟合为南界乡，1956年并入夏塘乡，1959年成立南界生产大队，隶上华公社。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村简介载，全村1970人，455户，分六个村民小组，耕地350亩，是人多地少的纯农村。[1]
经济[edit]
村里办有制罐、印刷、服装等企业；村民捐资并获政府支持，投资170多万元建成南界逸夫学校，结束了在旧祠堂上学的状况。[1]
