历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明万历三十九年（1611年），广东吴川县的叶姓人迁来创村。附近一带共7个村，沿一条大沟分布，此村居首，旧称沟头；沟形如龙，村民多叶姓，故名。清康熙二十五年（1686年）取“南阳出卧龙”之意，改称南蛟村。[1]
1949年与太平村合称太蛟村，1953年分出，称沟头叶村，后写作蛟头叶。[1]

村简介载，全村538人，117户，耕地140亩。村道已铺水泥路面，并完成排污工程。[1]
