历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明朝初年，海阳县陇尾村（今潮州市潮安区浮洋镇）的曾姓人家迁到韩江渡口一带定居，村名因渡口而来。村中古庙有一副对联，取联首两字称“图濠”，故村旧称图濠村。[1]
1953年图濠与另一村合为渡头乡，1956年又与夏塘、南界两乡合并为夏塘乡。[1]
人口民族[edit]
该页载村域面积2.37平方公里，居住人口6200多人，1350户，分九个村民小组，以曾姓居多，另有郭、翁、林、陈、方等姓。村民有不少旅居东南亚。[1]
经济[edit]
渡头在1994年2月被认定为二战时期的革命老区，2006年成为广东省生态示范村。改革开放后，村里引进了日资汽配厂等企业20多家。[1]渡头村在2020、2021、2022年连续进入淘宝村名单。[1]
