水口村是郁南县大湾镇下辖的行政村，村委会驻地处南江河与千官河汇合处，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1480年，陈氏始祖从福建南靖迁入；谢氏始祖于1512年和1520年先后迁入；明朝末年黄氏始祖自东坝镇迁来；许氏始祖自连滩镇迁来。现有陈、谢、黄、许、李、蔡6姓，谢姓最多，占65%。[2]

清代属保和甲，建国后长期为片村。公社化时编入长征人民公社，设水库生产大队。1983年改为乡人民政府所在，1987年复为村委会，1989年改设管理区，1999年又称村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，水口村被列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
