东风村位于石城镇境内，村委会设在东风村委，是镇下辖的一个行政村。[1] 村名反映村民积极进取的风气，村史上曾称秋风乡、秋风大队，1958年设秋风大队，之后改为东风大队，1999年又称村民委员会。[1]

据博雅地名网，村民有革命的、进步的推动力和气势，故以此命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年后这里是秋风乡，1958年人民公社化时设秋风大队，「文革」期间改称东风大队。[1]

1983年撤社设区，此地为东风乡；1986年起为东风村民委员会，1992年称东风管理区，1999年再称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会把「2022年广东省卫生村」称号授予村内的雷公冲村。[1]
