东风社区是兴宁市宁新街道下辖的社区，地处街道西侧，属主城区；兴宁境内最老的围龙屋东升围就在社区内。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年立东风大队，1983年改为东风乡，1987年称东风村，1989年设东风管理区，1999年为东风村委会，2004年改作东风社区居委会。名称因居委会驻地在宁新街道东边而来。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
东升围是一座三堂六横三围的围龙屋，坐北朝南，由罗氏先人于南宋靖康二年（1127年）起建，元至元十六年（1279年）落成，占地约9100平方米，又称九厅十八井。2009年入选「兴宁市十大古民居」，2011年评为梅州市「市级客家古民居」。[2]

社区下辖13个村民小组，672户、2138人，耕地32亩。2019年9月，它与另几处一同列入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
