东风社区在淡水老城区内，居民委员会成立于1958年，2021年与张屋社区合并后沿用东风社区居民委员会之名。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
社区的名字取自办公处旁的东风幼儿园。居民委员会于1958年3月6日正式成立，2001年5月改称东风社区居民委员会；2021年，淡水街道的张屋社区并入，名称不变。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
社区坐落于老城区，东临东门大桥，西靠淡水河，北到东门工业区，面积约0.38平方公里，据该页所载有8816人，分7个小组，办公室在水门河19号。辖区内有一座历史逾五百年的淡水祖庙，另有粮所、学校和幼儿园、医疗保健单位及小商贩五十余家。[1]
2019年9月，东风社区被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
