地名与沿革[edit]
社区名源于辖区内的东风路[1]。1949年11月，闸坡镇隶属阳江县第五区，镇内设六个街委会，第六街委会即其前身。撤区建镇后，它改称东风街居委会；居委会驻地1998年自庆安街迁至现址；2002年改称东风社区居委会[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，该社区列入2018年度省级民主法治示范创建名单[1]。
