水坑一社区在广东省肇庆市鼎湖区桂城街道内，由原水坑村分出，坐落于鼎湖山下。东边是国道321线，南边是西江，三茂铁路从中间穿过。社区共有居民5010人、1400户，分26个居民小组，占地6.8平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代有陈姓人家自南雄迁来定居，此地古时叫桂岭乡，后改称水坑村。[2]
1957年，水坑一与水坑二分开。1959年称水坑一大队，隶高要县广利人民公社；1983年改为乡，1986年改设村民委员会，归广利镇。1988年3月，它随广利镇从高要县转入鼎湖区。之后几年里，名称依次是水坑一管理区（1989年）、水坑一居委会（1992年12月，划归桂城街道办事处）和水坑一社区居民委员会（2002年）。[2]
经济[edit]
土地方面，有水田1200亩、鱼塘同样1200亩、岗地230亩、旱地300亩。[1]征地得来的款项被用来建设南大商业街、东大街和步行街，合计商铺500多间；此外有一座2000平方米的农贸市场，约200个档位，还有9幢招商厂房，面积共3万平方米。[1]1983年，居委会用铁路征地款把山泉水引进来供居民生活使用。[1]
