东风社区位于揭西县县城东江路一带，是河婆街道下辖的社区之一[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

东风社区的名称始于1984年设立的东风居民委员会。博雅地名网说，取名“东风”与改革开放的时代背景有关，寓意改革开放带来新气象[1]。

2002年，经县政府批准改称东风社区居民委员会，此名沿用至今[1]。
