大坑村位于玉湖镇西南部，毗邻桂岭镇和新亨镇，是一个革命老区村。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

全村总人口1172人。村委会下设3个村民小组，党员37人，村两委干部4人。土地方面，山地2600多亩，耕地则有561多亩，资料年份未注明。[1][2]

村里建有农民公园、文化活动中心和村办公楼，并建设了泰亨小学，改善办学条件。[2]

2024年上半年，大坑小学并入广英小学，学校布局有所优化。[3]

2022年1月，省级乡村振兴部门把大坑村定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

南宋宝庆年间建村。1949年归马联乡；1958年改由新亨公社第十一管区管理；1961年成为玉湖公社的大坑大队；1965年改称马联大队，1972年复称大坑大队；1984年归马联乡，1986年成立村委会。[1]
