棠下村是德庆县凤村镇人口最多的行政村，总人口2595人，分26个村民小组，土地约13.7平方公里，距圩镇7.6公里，邻九市、悦城等镇，悦怀线公路经过村边。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村民委员会成立于1998年，经县政府批准，村名取自其驻地棠下村。[1]1949年12月，这里隶属六村乡；1958年并入凤村乡，同年10月是东风公社的棠下大队。1959年6月德庆、封开两县合为德封县，棠下随之改隶，1961年4月德庆县恢复。1983年9月至1998年10月间，先后成为棠下乡、棠下管理区，最后是村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
村庄分散，山多地少，有“凤村小佛山”之称，棠下寨九成以上农户建有楼房；肉桂、松脂林业资源丰富，多数村民有柑桔产业，另有3个省级卫生村。[1]
