上沙村是宅梧镇西北部的行政村，距镇区约9公里，西北与佛山市高明区更合镇相邻。因位于沙水河上游而名“上沙”，辖区15.4平方千米，辖10个自然村。^[1]

地理环境[edit]

东邻漱云村，南接下沙村。年平均气温22.6℃，年降水量约1700毫米。村内有一座小二型水库——青年水库，在宅梧河的沙水支流上游，属潭江水系；水库集雨面积19.7平方千米，库容共971万立方米。^[1]

资料称，村下10个自然村合计2869人（未注明年份）。全村耕地约2985亩，水田占2873.82亩，其余111亩为旱地；经济以种植、养殖为主。^[1]

清代属鹤山县双桥都，民国属第四区；1954年称上沙乡，1958年为宅梧公社上沙大队，1986年称上沙管理区，1998年改为上沙村民委员会。^[1]

2017年10月，上沙村入选首批广东省卫生村；2021年12月再获2021年广东省卫生村；2023年5月，所辖东门村获2022年广东省卫生村。^[1]
