历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：村管理区内有一块形似马的大石。传说这匹马不守规矩，跑到田垌里吃禾，仙人派雷公把它劈成两半，马头落在田中，马身仍立在田边，村名因此叫石马。[1]
民国时期属石马乡第五堡，解放初期叫第三村，后为石马第一合作社。1950年一度归石马公社，同中伙、中和一起编为中和大队，1960年中和、秋风根两队各自分出。石马村民委员会成立于1986年，之后到1990年设管理区办事处，1999年重新定名石马村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
石马村地形为低丘陵，气候属南亚热带季风类型，年均气温约20至21度，年降雨量约2100毫米[1]。村内在册138户，人口1045人[1]。耕地866亩，经济作物以木薯、龙眼、八角为主[1]。
村情介绍称，全村有450人外出务工，种植经济作物1250多亩，有养鸡专业户4户。[2]

- 2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
