历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立后，独岗先是一个乡（1952至1958年），再成为大队，到1986年改作管理区，一直隶属清塘镇。四会市在1994年撤去清塘、四会两镇、新设龙甫镇和三个街道时，独岗划入贞山街道。2012年11月实行村改居，设独岗社区居民委员会。[3]
地名由来[edit]
当地在绥江冲积平原上，只有一座孤立的小岗，故名独岗。[4]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网和百度百科，独岗有29个村民小组，人口5298人（该数字取自约2010年的介绍），当年村民人均纯收入为9000元、村集体收入120万元。[2][5]辖区地势平坦，是城区蔬菜供应基地之一，出产苦瓜、叶菜、豆角等；村内有全省规模最大的鳄鱼养殖场，养殖数量上万条。[2][5]社区也是四会包装印刷业的聚集地，有规模以上的包装彩印企业7家。[2]
名胜与荣誉[edit]
贞山风景区和六祖寺都在独岗的辖区内。[2]时任广东省委书记汪洋曾把独岗作为深入学习实践科学发展观活动的联系点；2010年，这里创建为肇庆市的科学发展示范村。[2]独岗社区在2021年12月被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1][5]
