大坑村是广东省茂名市信宜市白石镇下辖的行政村，位于白石镇东北部。据博雅地名网所载，全村设17个村民小组，在册420户、1758人，总面积6.05平方千米，耕地1177.4亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来历：村在一条大坑之中，村民来此开荒建村，便叫大坑。[1]
村级建置的演变如下：新中国成立前期属白石上乡第六堡；到1958年，建有白石乡大坑生产大队。1983年时，成立大坑乡政府。到1987年时，称大坑村民委员会。接着在1989年，成立管理区办事处。最终在1999年，复称村民委员会至今。[1]
