新中国成立前设农会，1962年组建生产队，1983年建乡，1987年改称村民委员会，1989年改设管理区办事处，1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
地名由来[edit]
早先华峰、上峰两个管理区合称上峰，后按河流上下游分为上峰与下峰，此地处下游，称下峰，后来改作华峰。[2]

华峰村年平均气温21.8摄氏度，年降雨量约1477至1985毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种植的主要经济作物是香榄、氹仔鱼、木薯；特色收入来源有小水电站、杉木。据同一网站所载，上一年全村农村经济总收入1368万元。[1]
