大坑村属梅州市丰顺县砂田镇，是一个行政村，在镇域东北部，辖9个村民小组[1]。
名称由来[edit]
相传旧时村子周围都是大坑，故称大坑[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
大坑大队自1961年公社化起隶属砂田公社；1987年撤区改镇后分设大坑管理区；1999年春起建制为大坑村村民委员会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料记载，在册103户、468人，总面积10.9平方千米，耕地约180亩；村民以种水稻、养猪、外出务工为主，特色收入有木材；上一年农村经济总收入171万元[1]。

2019年9月，大坑村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中。[1]。
