塘尾村地处石排镇西南，划在镇中心区之内。村中的塘尾明清古村落为全国重点文物保护单位，是一座以李氏家族为主的古村聚落。村域面积约0.85平方公里，户籍1150人。[1][2]

古村落建于宋代，现存明清民居268座、祠堂21座，2012年列为首批中国传统村落。康王宝诞为村中的非物质文化遗产民俗活动。[1][3]

户籍共391户、1150人，外来人口接近一万零一百二十人。村内企业80余间，规上10家，个体工商户250余户。主要行业为玩具、五金与塑胶。[1]博雅地名网记村域面积1.57平方公里，与政府网站的数字不一致，本条以政府网站为准。[4]

古村落[edit]

古村以古围墙为界，依自然山势缓坡而建，格局保存完整，内有围墙、炮楼、里巷、祠堂、书室、民居、古井与池塘。村中现存明清民居268座，另有水塘6口、谯楼17座、围门4座、书室19间、祠堂21间、古井15眼。[1][2]

古村中清代晚期的建筑状况最好，带有鲜明的广府风格。[1][2]

民俗与文化[edit]

康王宝诞是广东省非物质文化遗产，每年农历七月初一至初七举行，纪念北宋抗辽名将康王的生日，巡游时村民抬着神像游行。[1]

2021年村里创建“塘尾艺术家联盟”，邀请艺术家驻地创作，以古村为主题开展陶艺、书法、绘画等公益活动。[1]

荣誉与称号[edit]

塘尾村先后获得「第四批广东省文物保护单位」「第六批全国重点文物保护单位」「第三批中国历史文化名村」「第一批中国传统村落」「国家4A级旅游景区」等称号，并获评东莞市美丽圩镇建设攻坚行动示范圩镇。[1]
