塘尾村是坡头镇下辖的行政村。2018年列入广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位；2026年3月又被广东省列为第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇之一。^[1]^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年以前，塘尾归六甲乡管辖。1961年设塘尾大队，1963年同梧村、六甲合并为前进大队，1967年塘尾再度单立。1983年重新并入前进乡，1991年5月从前进管理区分出，设塘尾管理区，隶坡头镇；1999年3月成为塘尾村民委员会。^[1]
