历史沿革[edit]
1956年建高级社（所属乡未见记载）；1958年并入乐城公社，为金鸡大队；1983年大队改为乡，1987年转为村民委员会，1989年又改设管理区，1998年更名为金鸡村民委员会，一直使用。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网（未注明年份）记载总人口1270人。村内水田少，种稻之外，山地种植玉桂、沙糖桔、佛手；村民外出务工，也靠这些作物取得收入。[1]
