历史沿革[edit]
塘尾自1956年的高级农业合作社起，公社化时转为塘尾大队，此后改乡（1983年）、改村民委员会（1987年）、改管理区办事处（1989年）；1995年归东山区管，1999年重称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1] 街道历史沿革记载，1932年的乡中有塘尾，1953年8月设乡时塘尾也在其列。[2]
概况与荣誉[edit]
村自述辖7个村民小组，在册542户、2570人，总面积4平方公里，耕地421亩；主要种水稻，特色经济是养殖业，上一年农村经济总收入205万元。[1] 2019年10月，塘尾村被列入「2019年广东省卫生村名录」。[1]
