据镇政府的报道，水口村党支部创建于1938年12月，是连州建立的第一个农村党支部，此后一直领导群众开展革命斗争。[2]

2022年，镇里筹资11万元修缮了该村第一个农村党支部的旧址。[2]

概况[edit]

村委会位于丘陵山区，交通不便，道路有待改善，农田引水渠道不畅，村民缺少足够资金投入种植业。[1]

荣誉[edit]

水口村于2022年10月获广东省农业农村厅认定，列为「2022年广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，产业为柑橘。[1]

2026年1月，水口村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
