东山村是陆丰市潭西镇的行政村，分4个村民小组，据博雅地名网总人口5000多人，离镇政府约0.5千米，离陆丰市区约15千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代以后村里人口增加得快，有一部分人迁往崎头居住，新中国成立后两村被合称为东崎乡。[1]

两村的分合此后有过反复：1961年分开，东山属潭西公社东山大队；1984年推行乡村制，又并回东崎乡；到1988年才彻底分设，立东山村委会。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

村里水田种稻，另有鱼塘，塘基上还养肉鸭，村集体经济靠这些发展。[1]

2021年12月，该村获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
