历史沿革[edit]
东山一带在1949年归曲江县大塘区东厢乡，1951年并入韶关市郊的环市公社，其后转入新韶公社，1972年隶新韶人民公社。1986年划给曲江县大塘镇，2004年起设新韶镇东山村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村民多姓陈、张、王、廖、赖、朱等。2013年总人口1388人。[1]
经济[edit]
原以种水稻、蔬菜为主，兼种花生、笋竹和果树。2013年有耕地1400亩，其中蔬菜250亩、水稻1150亩，山林4200亩，鱼塘1000亩。2019年9月，该村进入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
韶关樱花公园[edit]
韶关樱花公园设在东山村。区文旅体局的介绍称园区800多亩，有樱花10万多株、品种10余个。[2] 区委宣传部2024年秋季的报道说，园内百亩粉黛乱子草的观赏期约从9月中旬持续到11月中旬。[3]
