东山村是广东省江门市开平市赤水镇西面的行政村，距镇政府9公里，辖21个村民小组，总面积1112.7公顷。[1]
概况[edit]
现有人口2213人。地处丘陵，传统作物为水稻、甘蔗、花生、木薯，近年又种柠檬、新会柑和柚子；美商投资的鸿懋农业开发公司和一处约1000亩的花木场也在村内。[1]
碉楼[edit]
迎龙村有孔怀楼（1917年）、晃耀楼（1915年）和转庐楼（1930年），柠溪村有同安楼（1913年），官方称这些建筑对研究开平碉楼、村落与侨乡文化有一定价值。[1]
村庄建设[edit]
村里完成了东山五星村的生活污水处理站，并硬化五星、迎龙村口路面，村党群服务中心集便民服务、调解等功能于一处。[1]
