东山村是梅州市大埔县百侯镇辖下的行政村，位于镇的南部。据博雅地名网载村情（未注明年份），全村分11个村民小组，在册372户、1527人，总面积2.7平方千米，耕地835亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地旧称车头。传说车头一带原多是坝地，村民在河边装水车引水灌田，后来改名东山。[1]
明代属清远都白堠溪南社车头方，清代属清远都白堠甲车头坊；民国属百侯区；新中国成立初期隶第三区（侯云）；1952年为百侯区东山乡，1957年为侯南乡东山小乡；1958年10月，百侯公社下设东山大队；1986年12月起为百侯镇东山村；1988年叫管理区，1998年改设村民委员会。[1]
