塘角村属博罗县观音阁镇，1999年由桂塘村分出。村名的说法是：此处有高地，洪水冲不垮，水流绕弯而形成一角。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据说明代嘉靖年间，先民从梅州南迁到塘角。清代归苏州巡司署，民国归河源县；建国后立观音阁乡塘角二村；1960年为塘角大队；1963年属桂塘大队；1999年桂塘村一分为二，成立塘角村委会。2024年1月，塘角村被确定为广东省民主法治示范村（社区）（2023年度）。[1]
