彭村属博罗县观音阁镇。彭姓人家从河源市源城区东埔镇黄子洞分迁而来，落居老屋，村名由此得来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代归博罗县苏州巡司署，民国归河源县；建国后，1950年一区观音阁乡，1951年观音阁镇，1952年二区观音阁乡，1955年杨村区公所，1956年观音阁乡，1959年观音阁人民公社彭南大队。此后1983年随公社改区，1986年定名彭村管理区，1999年设彭村村民委员会。[1]
