砂岭村属博罗县观音阁镇，是甘蔗专业村。旧名“借岭”，后改为现名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，朱姓原居此地，嫌低洼易淹而搬走，土地借给林姓，故叫借岭；人口增长后觉得名字不妥，改取河边沙洲之意，成砂岭。清代以前由博罗县苏州巡司署管；民国随观音阁划入河源县；建国初年划回博罗，设砂岭大队；1959年归观音阁人民公社；1983年隶区公所；1987年改管理区；1999年起为砂岭村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，砂岭村入选第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村，产业为甘蔗；同年12月获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
