桂岭村属博罗县观音阁镇，1999年由桂塘村分出。村名来自居住地屋后长满桂树的山岭。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代归博罗县埠鹅镇，民国跟着观音阁镇划给河源县，新中国成立后回到博罗；1983年隶区公所；1998年时叫桂塘管理区；1999年桂塘村一分为二，桂岭村与塘角村各自设村民委员会。2021年12月，桂岭村获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
