名称与沿革[edit]
先人迁来时，村的一角有天然的古塘，族人各自建房居住后，便以塘角为村名。[1]
清代属苏州巡检司，民国属以显村为中心的清平乡（第六区），1949年后属显杨乡三区；1953年属二区，1955至1959年属杨村区公所，1973至1986年属杨村人民公社；1990年起由塘角村民委员会管理。[1]
