地名由来与沿革[edit]

村子在一口大池塘的尾端，因此名塘尾。[1]沿革依次为：1672年的塘尾明星社；民国到1950年的塘尾村；1953年土改后的塘尾乡；1958年的塘尾大队；1985年的管理区；1999年的居民委员会；2001年起的村委会。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

街道概况称塘尾村为省级文明村、省乡村治理示范村。[3]2023年11月，列入「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」；2024年4月，列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
