地名由来与沿革[edit]
先民在此耕种畲地，人口增加后向河对岸扩展，这里便称老畲。[1]20世纪70年代，樟浦、老畲、新畲曾为一个生产大队，70年代后期老畲单独成队，后来改为村委会。[1][2]2025年2月，河边社区由老畲村析置而成。[3]
荣誉[edit]
广东省爱国卫生运动委员会在2017年10月公布首批「广东省卫生村」，老畲村在内。[1]
