朱砂镇是广东省茂名市信宜市北部的镇，北面与广西岑溪市相连，西北与广西容县相邻，镇政府驻朱砂街，辖3个社区、32个行政村[1]。现在的镇由原朱砂、旺沙、安莪三镇在2003年合并而成[1][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

万历年间（1573年至1620年），此地隶信宜县信丰都，入清后叫大胜堡。到了民国，1932年是信宜县六区下的朱砂乡，1940年划归三区，名为大胜乡，新中国成立初期沿用这一名称[3]。

建政后，1952年12月设为信宜县第六区，后来叫朱砂区；至1957年2月成了朱砂乡，次年秋建朱砂公社。此后区与公社几度互换：1961年6月是区，1963年1月是公社，1983年12月又是区，直到1986年冬才定为朱砂镇[3]。2003年11月26日，朱砂、旺沙、安莪三个镇并为一个，仍叫朱砂镇[1][3]。镇内的朱砂、安莪、旺沙三个社区，则是2010年9月先后设立的[2]。

镇名取自境内的朱砂岭，岭的古名叫胭脂岭，一带多朱红色的砂土[2][4]。镇内不少村名也有说法可查：古泮由“彭盘”谐音而来，埠头旧称渡头，龙埠因河道似游龙并设过盐埠得名，旺科原叫旺坡，因与池洞镇的旺坡重名而改写[4]。各村的来历见各村条目。

地理环境[edit]

朱砂镇在信宜市北部，四邻依次是：东面的贵子镇和茶山镇，南面的怀乡镇和池洞镇，西面的金垌镇；西北隔界是广西容县，北面是广西岑溪市。气候属亚热带[1]。博雅地名网记述，朱砂河纵贯镇境，向北流入广西岑溪，国道207线与省道在镇内交会[2]。

面积一项有几种数字：百度百科写作282.03平方千米，维基百科列为282.34平方千米，应是三镇合并后的范围[1][11]；博雅地名网写的是约109.3平方千米[2]。

人口[edit]

据百度百科，截至2019年末，全镇户籍人口99552人[1]。博雅地名网引述第七次全国人口普查，2021年6月全镇人口为5.58万人，在信宜市各街道乡镇中居第4位[2]。维基百科则列出58383人（未注明年份）[11]。

经济[edit]

百度百科称，2019年镇内工业企业共80个，规模以上的占10个，另有32家营业面积不小于50平方米的综合商店或超市[1]。博雅地名网收录的早年简介则说，这里是南药的重点产区，乡镇企业涉及水泥、红砖、石料、陶瓷、竹木器、机械配件、玻璃，农作物以水稻、玉米、南肉桂为主[2]。

各村的特色产业大多相近：养殖三黄鸡，种植三华李、大肉姜、烟叶、粉蕉；燕埇村等东部、东北部的村还养殖网箱鱼[15]。各村情况以博雅地名网各村页面为据[12]。其中，双砥村在2021年9月以澳洲坚果入选广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，文料村在2020年8月以百香果入选首批，石印村在2021年9月以怀乡鸡入选第二批，燕埇村在同一批名单里以「南华李」入选[12][13][14][15]。

名胜古迹[edit]

锡三公祠在双砥村，是余氏家族的祠堂，动工于清光绪二十年（1894年），前后用了32年，至民国十五年（1926年）建成。祠坐西北向东南，砖木结构，中间是三进正厅和拜堂，两侧对称排列89间平房，兼有祠堂和书院的用途；建筑融合了仿罗马式风格和清代的风火墙，外墙留有枪眼和瞭望台。祠由余扶分主持设计，他的父亲余锡三是清朝的武显将军。梁柱的雕刻题材有“八仙过海”和“郭子仪贺寿”。新中国成立后，附屋曾分给14户农民居住，也做过学校和公社的用房。信宜市、茂名市两级人民政府在2000年先后把它定为文物保护单位[5][10]。

敕书楼同在双砥村，位于信宜市区东北约22.7公里处，始建于明天启六年（1626年）。武信骑尉余应晓因救驾有功，晚年告老还乡时获明熹宗敕赐书柬，于是建楼供奉。楼为两层砖木结构，坐南向北，红墙绿瓦，设拱门花窗和镬耳形封火墙。书柬原放在后楼正厅，今已失存。2025年4月，市文化部门完成了它的测绘并公示保护范围方案；此前的2000年6月18日，它已是信宜市（县）一级的文保单位[6][7]。百度百科的词条框另写建立时间为1612年，与正文的1626年不一致，此处从正文。

石根山风景旅游区在石根村与广西岑溪市水汶镇的交界处，山属粤西云开山脉，景区成立于2009年，占地约5000亩，2021年8月获评「国家3A级」旅游景区。山体由花岗岩质片麻岩构成，百度百科写主峰海拔988米，博雅地名网写998米；景区的设施包括悬空栈道、一处333平方米的玻璃观景台和观光索道；半山海拔650米的地方有一个约800平方米的仙人湖[8][9]。
