历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据博雅地名网所载：林渥一带的田地主要靠高垌的坑水灌溉，坑沟两旁岩石多，引水不便，土质又疏松难蓄水，农户只能趁下雨时赶牛犁耙，叫“落水驶牛淋轭”，以同音的“渥”代“轭”，成了林渥。[1]
民国时期，林渥属贵子乡的黄圹、林渥堡，解放初属黄圹林渥村。1961年贵子乡分出贵旺乡，林渥、佛水、新圩都在其内；翌年林渥另立大队。1983年起为乡，1987年称村民委员会，1989年设管理区办事处，1999年定名林渥村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里主要种植水稻、花生、马铃薯、蕃薯、木薯；特色收入来源有种植三华李[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予林渥村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
