礼垌村是东岸镇下辖的行政村。村子在一条大垌之内，村民善良好客，村名由此而来。[1]

1959年大队由均圩迁回礼垌建立，体制下放时分出西山河大队，1963年西山河与礼垌合并，因礼垌一带名气较大，定名礼垌大队。1983年起称乡，1986年起为农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]

2019年12月，礼垌村入选国家林业和草原局公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」；2021年12月获评「2021年广东省卫生村」；2023年4月被列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位」。[1]
