谈朋村是东岸镇下辖的行政村。相传此地以前遍地藤蔓，称“攀藤”，后来读音转为“谈朋”。[1]
1957至1958年属东岸岑山管理区，1959至1960年属回盘大队；1961至1962年分为谈朋、大王北两个大队，1963年两队合并为谈朋大队。1983年起称乡，1986年起为农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。2021年12月获评「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]
