郑村村是东岸镇下辖的行政村，据说是郑姓人家最早迁到这里，村名由此而来。[1]
郑村原隶属河廊管理区的河廊大队，后与旺坑各立一队，1963年两队合并，叫郑村大队。乡、农村管理区、村民委员会的名称依次出现于1983年、1986年和1999年。2022年1月，该村被广东省乡村振兴局列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
