这里早年是公社下辖的河朗坡管理区，管辖麦坑、大双、白花塘、双城等处；其后河朗坡、郑村、旺坑合成一个大队，又拆分为三个。乡、农村管理区、村民委员会的名称依次出现于1983年、1986年和1999年。[1]

2019年10月入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
