名称由来[edit]

村名因村委会办公地在红星良田试验场而来。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，当时的锦和镇委书记李光在这里办起红星良田试验农场；到1971年，农场转为红星大队；1984年同龙群大队合并，称龙群乡；1986年从龙群分出，另设红星村委会，1988年成为管理区，1998年起成为村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，红星村被广东省爱卫会评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]

在2019年9月公布的名单中，它是「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
