名称由来[edit]
取安居乐业、和平稳定之意而得名。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
最初是1955年由渔民家属结成的互助组，1958年编为后勤大队，1983年成为管理区，1999年设和平社区居民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，和平社区的和平街、跃进街、零散街居民小组被广东省爱卫会评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
在2019年9月公布的名单中，它是「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
