地名由来[edit]

政府鼓励渔民上岸定居，划出土地建村，让渔民在岸上生产生活，社区因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1974年成为水口公社的渔业大队。开平1993年撤县设市时它归沙冈区，2005年沙冈区并入水口镇，它随之属水口镇；渔业社区居委会之名自1999年起使用。[1]

近年建设[edit]

水口镇人民政府2026年4月发布的镇简介提到，2025年该镇完成了渔业草洲村老旧小区改造等工程。[2]
