横江村位于开平市月山镇，村民委员会辖12个村民小组，登记人口1703人、475户，耕地1490亩，村里保存有民国时期的横江绍贤学校旧址。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

一条小江绕村而过，村名由此得来。清代隶开平县古博都，民国年间划归第十区月山乡，新中国成立后属九区健江乡；1958年属月山公社，称横江大队，1984年改乡人民政府，1989年改管理区；1993年撤县设市后归开平市月山镇，到1999年定名横江村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

横江绍贤学校旧址建于民国时期，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑，2020年11月29日公布为开平市第五批文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年10月获第一批广东省卫生村称号；2024年4月被列入乡村振兴示范村创建名单（广东省第一批）。[1]村内设有“粤书吧”自助图书馆。[2]
